SPIN Launches Pilot with Dream Center

Full article at Kern County Superindendent of Schools  |  The Dream Center of Kern County is in the beginning stages of an exciting pilot program to expand transportation opportunities for vulnerable youth ages 18 to 25. SPIN and Golden Empire Transit are providing 100 Dream Center youth with access to free public transit, SPIN e-bikes, and e-scooters for one year as part of this Universal Basic Mobility project. It comes at a time when over 18,000 people in Bakersfield are between the ages of 16 and 24 are not in school or working a job (as of 2019), making it one of the highest rates of youth disconnection in the United States....
